Job Summary
IIQAF Group is seeking a hardworking and reliable Assistant Plumber to support plumbing installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting activities across our hospitality facilities in Dubai. The Assistant Plumber will work under the supervision of qualified plumbers and maintenance technicians to maintain water supply, drainage, sanitary, plumbing fixtures, pumps, valves, and related plumbing systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist plumbers with the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of plumbing systems throughout hospitality facilities.
- Support plumbing work in hotel rooms, bathrooms, kitchens, restaurants, laundry areas, public areas, staff facilities, and service areas.
- Assist with the installation and repair of water supply pipes, drainage pipes, waste pipes, valves, fittings, and plumbing fixtures.
- Help install and maintain toilets, wash basins, sinks, showers, faucets, mixers, bidets, floor drains, and other sanitary fixtures.
- Assist with pipe cutting, threading, joining, fitting, soldering, sealing, and installation under the supervision of a qualified plumber.
- Report plumbing defects, leaks, damaged equipment, safety hazards, and material requirements to the supervising plumber or maintenance supervisor.
- Assist with maintaining records of completed plumbing maintenance and work orders.
- Coordinate with electricians, HVAC technicians, carpenters, housekeeping, and engineering teams when plumbing work affects other building services.
- Follow health and safety, hygiene, water safety, PPE, and workplace safety procedures at all times.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, technical diploma, vocational qualification, ITI certificate, or equivalent is preferred.
- Plumbing trade certificate or relevant technical training is an advantage.
- Previous experience as an Assistant Plumber, Plumbing Helper, Plumber Helper, Plumbing Technician Assistant, or Junior Plumber is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing installation, maintenance, and repair.
- Familiarity with water supply, drainage, sewage, and sanitary plumbing systems.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing pipes, fittings, valves, fixtures, pumps, and drainage components.
- Physically capable of lifting materials, working in confined areas, and performing plumbing maintenance tasks.
- Willingness to learn and develop practical plumbing and maintenance skills.
