Job summary

ADNOC Drilling Company is seeking an Entry-Level Slickline Support to assist the Slickline Operator during pre- and post-job operations in Abu Dhabi. You will help with raising and lowering downhole tools, valves, plugs, and regulators, and support in transmitting tools to required depths while maintaining safety and data records.

The role requires 1 year of relevant experience, fluency in English, and strong computer skills.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist the Slickline Operator during pre- and post-job operations.
• Assist in raising and lowering downhole tools with a wire cable to test and maintain wells.
• Help retrieve and install valves, plugs and pressure regulators.
• Support in lowering and raising downhole tools and plugs to proper depth.
• Direct the fishing tools used to retrieve broken or lost wire or equipment.
• Maintain tools and safety gear in safe working condition.
• Record relevant data and ensure accurate documentation.
• Attend weekly safety meetings and follow OS and company standards.
• Comply with UAE, ADNOC, and client asset integrity policies and procedures.

JOB PURPOSE:

Provides support to the Slickline Operator and assists with pre- and post-job operations. Assists in raising and lowering downhole tools (e.g. bailers, pulling tools, stems and running tools) with a wire cable to test and maintain wells. Supports in retrieving and installing valves, plugs and pressure regulators. Assists in lowering and raising downhole tools and plugs to proper depth and direct the fishing tools used to retrieve broken or lost wire or equipment.

Key Accountabilities

Job Specific Accountabilities

• Interacts with third parties whose activities could negatively impact slickline job execution process to ensure proper coordination.
• Assists in the rig-up of equipment in accordance with accepted procedures.
• Collects and records relevant data.
• Assists in the usage of weight indicator gauges and depth counters to monitor the tension and depth of the slickline.
• Supports in performing on-site emergency unit / equipment maintenance.
• Reports all hazards or potentially hazardous situations, accidents, incidents and injuries immediately to supervisor.
• Attends weekly Safety Meetings.
• Understands and implements operational (OS), and technical standards including other company requirements for each task performed.
• Comply with all UAE, ADNOC, ADNOC Drilling and client Asset Integrity Management codes of practice.
• Performs other similar or related duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Training

• Provide on-the-job Training to meet Competency Based Training programs for UAE Nationalization.

Tool Box

• Maintain all tools, safety gear and equipment provided by company safely and in working condition.
• Arrange for repair or replacement of any tools and safety gear that may not be in good working condition.

Time Management

• Carry out all maintenance jobs in line with assigned time standards.
• Inform the Maintenance Supervisor in case additional resources are required to carry out the job within the assigned time frame.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement

• Contribute to the identification of areas and opportunities for continuous improvement in the operating procedures, modification of functional processes, machinery or equipment.

Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability

• Support the institution of an HSE culture and ensure compliance with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines across the Division in line with international standards, best practices and Corporate Code of Practices and to ensure integrity and safety of assets.

Housekeeping

• Maintain the work environment clean and tidy before, during and after executing the job, in line with established standards of Hygiene and Housekeeping.

Reports

• Collect technical data from the field as required and provide inputs to prepare Section progress reports for Company Management.
• Provide input for the preparation of Method statements and initiate Near Miss reports.

Communications & Working Relationships

Internal

• Regular contacts with all Supervisors and Operators for follow-up on slickline services.
• Regular contact with Team Leaders in other departments.

External

• Regular contact with clients to discuss slickline services and HSE matters.
