Job summary

Emirates Flight Catering in Dubai seeks an experienced Operations Supervisor to plan resources, allocate catering equipment, and coordinate with stakeholders to meet passenger demand.

You will delegate tasks, supervise preparation, dispatch, and loading of items, uphold safety, quality standards, and continuous improvement to enhance efficiency and guest experience.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent qualification.
• 3 years experience in Flight Operations, Food Packing or Logistics.
• 2 years exposure in a team leader capacity.
• Strong knowledge of operations and resource allocation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare resource allocation in collaboration with the operations supervisor to optimize resources.
• Prepare and deliver catering equipment in a timely and effective manner with stakeholders.
• Delegate and supervise the team in prep, dispatch and loading of catering items, ensuring safety and quality.
• Support training needs and guide team members to perform safely and efficiently.
• Lead safety checks to minimize hazards and comply with SOPs and regulations.
• Manage inventory levels by monitoring stock and coordinating with stakeholders to meet demand and minimize waste.
• Identify areas for improvement and propose plans to reduce costs and enhance customer experience.

Job description

• 1. Prepare resource allocation in collaboration with the operations supervisor, based on demand in order to achieve the agreed objectives and to optimize resources.
• 2. Prepare and deliver catering equipment in a timely and effective manner in coordination with various stake holders.
• 3. Delegate and supervise the team members in the preparation, dispatch and loading of catering items to ensure that the process is optimized, timely and meets all safety and quality standards.
• 4. Support the team members in their training needs to perform their jobs safely & efficiently by providing them guidance, resolving any performance or operational issues, and promoting a culture of safety and efficiency.
• 5. Lead BBSM (Behaviour based safety management) checks observed by the team members to minimise food safety hazards & to comply with department SOP’s and regulations.
• 6. Facilitate in managing inventory levels by monitoring stock levels, tracking usage, and coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure that the necessary products / equipment’s are readily available to meet passenger demand, while minimizing waste and optimizing costs.
• 7. Identify areas for improvement and propose plans to address them in order to enhance the efficiency, reduce costs, and improve the overall customer experience.

Qualifications

Education Qualification: Diploma or equivalent qualification (Must have)

Work Experience: Years of Experience: 3 years Area of Experience: Flight Operations, Food Packing or Logistics function preferably in the Airline Catering Industry and/or Food Industry 2 years exposure in a team leader capacity (preferred)

Skills: Strong knowledge and understanding of operations, e.g.: resource allocation. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with team members and other stakeholders. Ability to lead and motivate a team, delegate tasks, and provide guidance. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve operational issues quickly and effectively. Effective time management and prioritization skills to ensure smooth operations within tight deadlines.
