DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Operations Controller to support our finance department. The successful candidate will manage operational finance, ensuring accurate and timely processing of transactions, and prepare reports and analyses for management.

As an Assistant Operations Controller, you will:

• Oversee and validate sales and purchase order data, correcting data entry as needed.
• Reconcile stock receipts with purchase orders and validate COGS/revenue.
• Assist in regular stock counts.
• Review master data for vendors, customers, and items periodically.
• Assist in preparing cash flow forecasts for accounts payable.
• Review backlog and report weekly changes.
• Maintain proper records for vendor purchase orders and invoices, implementing a 3-way match process.
• Review vendor advances and track relevant payments.
• Assist in sales order approval by reviewing margins and obtaining approvals.
• Perform regular margin reconciliations.
• Prepare vendor payment schedules.
• Prepare sales commissions.
• Generate weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc reports as required.
• Assist in managing fixed assets, including accounting and IT.
• Review month-end stock reports and make provisions per accounting policies.
• Prepare tax returns for UAE and KSA entities.
• Note: The candidate may need to be available outside regular hours due to multiple time zones.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• At least 2-3 years of relevant experience.
• Fluency in English (mandatory); Arabic is a plus.
• A bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; professional certifications like CA, CPA, or ACCA are advantageous but not mandatory.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data manipulation and analysis.
• Proficiency in accounting software or ERP systems such as SAP S4Hana, SAGE, QuickBooks, or similar.
