Assistant Nurse - OPD

The Assistant Nurse OPD (Outpatient Department) supports the nursing and medical teams in delivering patient care within clinical settings such as hospitals, medical centers, or specialty clinics. This role involves assisting with patient preparation, basic procedures, documentation, and follow-up under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians. The Assistant Nurse ensures adherence to hygiene standards, patient safety protocols, and UAE healthcare regulations while maintaining a compassionate and professional approach.

Responsibilities:

1. Assisting in the preparation of consultation rooms and ensuring medical equipment is ready and sterilized.
2. Supporting doctors and nurses during outpatient procedures, examinations, and treatments.
3. Recording patients' vital signs, symptoms, and medical history as directed by supervising nurses.
4. Guiding patients through the outpatient process, including triage, check-in, and follow-up appointments.
5. Ensuring proper documentation of patient care activities in medical records and hospital systems.
6. Maintaining cleanliness and infection control standards in line with UAE healthcare guidelines.
7. Managing basic administrative tasks such as arranging patient files and coordinating with reception staff.
8. Replenishing medical supplies and reporting equipment malfunctions or shortages.
9. Providing empathetic and respectful communication to patients and their families.

Requirements:

1. Diploma or certification in Nursing Assistance or a related healthcare support field.
2. Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an outpatient or clinical care setting, preferably in the UAE.
3. Knowledge of basic medical procedures, infection control, and patient safety practices.
4. Strong organizational skills with attention to accuracy and detail in clinical documentation.
5. Proficient in using electronic health records (EHR) and standard medical software.
6. Good interpersonal and communication skills, especially with patients and multidisciplinary teams.
7. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a calm and compassionate demeanor.
