Job Title: Assistant Nurse

Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Assistant Nurse to join our healthcare team in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will support registered nurses in delivering high-quality patient care, providing assistance in clinical procedures, and ensuring the comfort and safety of patients. This role is essential in maintaining patient well-being, supporting the healthcare team, and upholding infection control and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in the provision of direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses.
  2. Monitor vital signs and assist patients with daily activities such as hygiene, feeding, and mobility.
  3. Ensure patient comfort and address their basic needs throughout their care journey.
  4. Clinical Support:
    1. Support registered nurses in various clinical procedures and patient treatments.
    2. Participate in patient assessments and contribute to the development and implementation of care plans.
  5. Documentation:
    1. Accurately document patient data, nursing interventions, and observations in electronic health records (EHR).
    2. Ensure that patient records are up-to-date and compliant with healthcare regulations.
  6. Communication:
    1. Foster effective communication with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
    2. Relay key information to registered nurses and other relevant healthcare professionals for optimal care delivery.
  7. Safety and Infection Control:
    1. Follow infection control protocols and help maintain a safe, clean, and hygienic healthcare environment.
    2. Promptly report any safety hazards or incidents to the healthcare team.
  8. Assistance in Procedures:
    1. Assist in medical procedures while adhering to established safety protocols.
    2. Offer emotional support to patients during treatments or medical procedures.
  9. Provide patients and families with basic education on healthcare practices, self-care, and post-procedure care.
  10. Reinforce instructions and care plans provided by registered nurses or other healthcare professionals.
  11. Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
  12. Participate in team meetings and actively contribute to care planning discussions.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelors Degree in Nursing or an Associate Nursing Degree (2 years).
  2. DHA/DOH license as an Assistant Nurse (active or in process).
  3. Valid Home Country Nursing License.
  4. Good Standing Certificate.
  5. Current BLS certification.
  6. At least 1 year of recent clinical experience as an Assistant Nurse.
