The Role

As an Assistant Merchandiser at SUMWON STUDIOS, you’ll be responsible for building and merchandising digital content, ensuring the content is presented with quality and accuracy, and verifying that the merchandised product aligns with the event theme. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a cross-functional team driving digital brand experience and sales performance.

Key Responsibilities
Planning
  • Support with the analysis of historical and current sales data, identify trends and support decision-making regarding future product development.
  • Develop commercial awareness and suggest ways to improve sales, hit rate and other key performance indicators.
  • Present insights, forecasts and recommendations to the Merchandiser.
Trading
  • Exhibit commercial awareness to maximise on trade reactions, maintaining a buy now, wear now mentality.
  • Have an appreciation of the latest fashion trends to inform the trading strategy.
  • Understand seasonality, promotional calendars and key selling periods, supporting the merchandiser to manage risk and deliver maximum profitability.
  • Support in the production of weekly trade packs, ad hoc analysis and reporting.
  • Process innovation and ways of working.
  • Support in innovation, suggesting ways to improve our ways of working.
  • Understand our internal wiki, ensuring compliance and delivery of best practice.
CPT Management
  • Support in critical path management - highlighting opportunities for improvements in the time to online, ensuring supplier and team compliance.
  • Work closely with the Studio team to ensure prioritisation and correct handling of samples.
Onsite Management & Pricing
  • Assist the on-site and pricing team with setting initial pricing and discount strategies to maximise margins.
  • Review our onsite offer regularly - highlighting opportunities and solutions to increase sales and UPT.
Team Development & Leadership
  • Assist the merchandiser to ensure strong cross-functional communication is maintained with our partners and other business areas to deliver merchandising strategies & wider business goals.
What you’ll bring
  • Proven working experience in merchandising on a similar role.
  • Hands-on experience of an e-Commerce platform – Shopify Plus.
  • Knowledgeable of analytical tools for performance measurement, determining improvements and innovations.
  • An understanding of e-Commerce UX, content and development projects, and intuitive knowledge of how users interact and shop in a digital environment.
  • Excellent ability to analyse data and propose commercial objectives.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of performance tracking and A/B testing.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a demanding environment.
  • Experience working with/at a fashion retailer or marketplace (preferable).
