Job Description

Job Purpose:

The job holder will manage the Treasury and Insurance function for DHRE including all aspects of the company’s liquidity and banking needs, cash flow planning and forecasting, and company’s banking facilities to ensure optimal utilization of liquidity and banking facilities.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Ensure Treasury Management policies, processes and procedures are fully implemented for smooth functioning of the Treasury function.
  • Carry out periodic assessment of Treasury management policies, processes and procedures.
  • Work closely with DHGS Treasury for smooth operation of Treasury activities in line with the Finance catalogue and agreed SLA.
  • Ensure that bank reconciliation statements are prepared on a monthly basis with DH GS. Ensuring all reconciling items are resolved on a timely basis and long outstanding reconciling items are escalated appropriately.
  • Ensure adequate controls in place for cash outflows and inflows for effective management of liquid cash.
  • Analyse the cash flow forecast (received from DH GS Treasury) and provide recommendation for liquidity management and placing of excess free cash.
  • Provide critical support to Treasury director in preparing contingency funding plans to tackle the cash liquidity in crisis situations.
  • Direct and guide the team members in dealing with all disputes on cash collection, cheques, bounced cheques, negotiation etc., through effective coordination with finance and operations.
  • Ensure all treasury operations related queries raised by Finance teams and operations are adequately and timely resolved.
  • Review and respond to internal and external audit observations made and ensuring audit recommendations are addressed to and implemented in the department immediately .
  • Maintaining bank relationships, and being the bank's first point of contact for treasury function.
  • Liaison with banks to ensure a smooth process of funding in order to maximize company’s liquid cash in case of emergencies.
  • Provide a critical support to Director Treasury in maintaining and negotiating external financing facilities
  • Ensure ongoing monitoring for compliance with banking covenants
  • Ensure timely issuance of RERA guarantees and opening of escrow accounts for new project launches.
  • Keep abreast about the new technology and software’s used to increase the efficiency of treasury management function in order to provide recommendations to the management for automation of treasury function.
  • Provide periodic reporting for the treasury function including Treasury pack, cash flow forecasting, long and short-term debt analysis, utilization of banking facilities and currency exposure analysis for Senior Management information’s and making informed decisions.
  • Managing the DHRE group Insurance requirements in co-ordination with the insurance broker including managing the adequate coverage, timely renewal of insurance policies and ensuring the processing of insurance claims.
  • Diligently perform any other any other ad-hoc tasks which may be assigned
