Our Client: A fast-growing organization in the FMCG distribution industry.

Your Role: You support supply chain operations, with a particular focus on inbound logistics, procurement, and planning. The candidate will collaborate across functions including sales, marketing, finance, and warehouse operations to ensure optimal availability of goods and efficient movement from port to warehouse.

This role requires a proactive professional with hands-on expertise in supply planning, procurement management, inbound logistics, and ERP systems. The Assistant Supply Chain Manager will play a key role in driving operational excellence, enhancing forecast accuracy, managing supplier and shipping performance, and ensuring compliance with import regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Demand Forecasting & Supply Planning: Collaborate with sales, marketing, and finance teams to develop monthly and quarterly demand forecasts; prepare supply plans to optimize stockholding and working capital.
• Procurement Management: Manage procurement calendars in line with forecasts, supplier lead times, MOQ, and capacity; raise and track purchase orders; follow up with suppliers for confirmations and dispatch timelines.
• Supplier Performance: Evaluate suppliers on delivery reliability, lead times, and responsiveness; support supplier relationship management.
• Inbound Logistics & Compliance: Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs agents, and transporters for timely customs clearance and delivery; monitor and manage freight costs, demurrage/detention risks, and compliance with import regulations.
• Documentation & ERP Management: Ensure accurate and complete purchase and shipment documentation; maintain up-to-date logs of inbound shipments; ensure all movements are properly recorded in the ERP system (SAP / Oracle).
• Reporting & Continuous Improvement: Support the development of dashboards and reports to track key supply chain KPIs, inbound logistics efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• 5–8 years of experience in supply chain operations with specific expertise in inbound logistics and procurement.
• FMCG or distribution sector experience preferred.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Forecasting).
• Advanced working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP / Oracle).
