The successful applicant is responsible for quality assurance testing of Samsung mobile phones in real network for end users.
Role and Responsibilities
- Conducting field test (Interoperability test and S / W verification) on new mobile handsets in real network prior to launch in market, in addition to field testing for maintenance releases and Operating System upgrade of existing handsets.
- Works on problems of diverse scope where analyzing data requires evaluating identifiable factors. Demonstrates good judgement in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
- Building testing infrastructure: Participate in setting up an evaluation environment for software testing and suggesting an automation tool, etc.
- Testing development management: Develop test cases based on requirements and specifications, make a test process, and define function evaluation standards.
- Testing software: Test software functions, non-functions, codes, and usability based on a development process within a certain period of time.
- Software defect management: Identify software defects and confirm improvement and acquisition of functions during development and mass production stages.
- Project management: Develop a plan according to a testing process by development stage and follow the processes.
Skills and Qualifications
- Experience with S / W testing, preferably Android operating system.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferably majored in electronics and communications engineering).
- Preferably holds professional SW testing certification such as ISTQB or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of all mobile technology terms and strong background in all network operating technologies including but not limited to 3G, 4G, 5G, VoLTE and VoNR.
- Project management experience working and coordinating with a team of field engineers geographically dispersed and other cross-functional teams.
- Technology skills around mobile handsets and deep knowledge about mobile communication.
- Experience in SW testing / quality assurance.
- Possess a basic understanding of Android OS and other mobile platforms.
- Good PC skills and the confident use of applications such as MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
- High self-motivation and ability to work alone, managing own work and setting sensible priorities according to perceived requirements.
- Good at planning and able to meet the testing schedules.
- Approachable, flexible, team-oriented and self-assertive where required.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management.
- Must be a team player and willing to adapt to change.
