Overview
The role oversees international freight and logistics operations, ensuring cost efficiency, compliance, and service excellence. It involves evaluating logistics models, driving cost savings, and enhancing processes through data-driven decision making. The position manages vendor and team performance, fosters stakeholder collaboration, and ensures smooth import/export operations across GCC/MENA.
Responsibilities
- Actively works on opportunities to bring in cost savings, enhance processes
- Structured approach towards problem solving through data driven decision making
- Well versed with transportation logistics industry, vendor capabilities, compliance
- Is able to run cost simulations to evalute various logistics models to assist business requirements
- Assist the internal stakeholders by providing consultation on any logistics requirements
- Monitor team performance and vendor performance through regular reviews of KPIs
- Well aware of importation and exportation process, focusing on GCC/MENA
- Responsible to manage a team executing international freight
- Aware of the importation and exportation rules, freight cost structures
- Extensive interactions with LSPs to work out logistics solutions that bring about efficiency, cost savings
- Guide and mentor the team, set measurable KPIs for service providers and team
- Analyse performance, costs, actively drive cost savings/ efficiency improvement projects
Functional / Technical Competencies
- Freight management
- Experience with cost optimization, vendor management, and driving process improvements
- Experience in managing logistics service providers (LSPs) and leading high-performing teams
- Solid background in data-driven analysis, KPI management, and logistics cost modeling
- Strong understanding of MS Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint
