Job Description

Support and facilitate the entire product development cycle from a Sharia perspective, including identification of suitable Sharia structures, determination of required documentation, and process management. Support related Dar Al Sharia tasks or activities assigned by the Line Manager.

Review concept notes of proposed products, assess key commercial objectives, and identify potential Sharia issues in the proposals.

Propose suitable Sharia structures, determine required product documentation, IT system requirements from a Sharia compliance perspective, and identify other operational or implementation requirements related to Sharia.

Coordinate with the ISSC to explain and clarify product concepts and obtain Sharia approval or guidance.

Explain approved Sharia structures, documentation, and processes from a Sharia compliance perspective to product development, IT teams, and other relevant stakeholders.

Assist the product team in developing product programs and relevant policy and procedure documents in accordance with ISSC guidance.

Review accounting entries and marketing materials, providing feedback in line with ISSC guidance.

Pursue the implementation of ISSC's Sharia guidance concerning relevant products.

Mentor and groom subordinates to enhance their capabilities and skills.

Ensure compliance with approved policies, procedures, SLAs, and regulatory requirements to maintain quality standards and mitigate risks.

Ensure all assigned tasks and projects are executed within the department's policies, procedures, and SLAs.

Include additional or new tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the Line Manager.

Competencies/Skills

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Banking and Finance with knowledge of Sharia.
• Master's Degree in Islamic Banking and Finance (preferable).

Work Experience

• Minimum 4-6 years of experience in Sharia structuring and/or Sharia-compliant product development.
