Job description

Job Responsibilities

Assist in ensuring that department colleagues deliver the brand promise and provide exceptional guest service at all times.

Ensure colleagues also provide excellent service to internal customers in other departments as appropriate.

Handle all guest and internal customer complaints and inquiries courteously and efficiently, following through to ensure problems are satisfactorily resolved.

Maintain positive guest and colleague interactions with good working relationships.

Maximize colleague productivity through multi-skilling, multi-tasking, and flexible scheduling to meet financial goals and guest expectations.

Focus on improving productivity levels and managing utility/payroll costs within guidelines, ensuring optimal deployment and energy efficiency.

Embrace new technology and equipment to improve productivity. Contribute to the preparation and management of the department's budget.

Operational

Manage the department according to the concept statement, providing safe, secure, courteous, professional, efficient, and flexible service, following park standards.

Supervise, correct, and demonstrate all duties and tasks assigned, with the capability to assign responsibilities to subordinates and monitor their performance.

Implement flexible scheduling based on business patterns and conduct daily pre-shift briefings.

Maintain thorough knowledge of all services and products.

Establish relationships with local authorities, ensuring compliance with regulations.

Handle investigations and reports related to thefts, accidents, injuries, property damage, vandalism, and trespassing, with assistance from local authorities if needed.

Manage security procedures, including key control, patrols, incident reporting, and emergency response protocols.

Coordinate training on fire prevention, occupational health, safety, and emergency procedures, including fire drills and in-house fire brigade training.

Review and manage scheduled functions and VIP arrivals, conducting vulnerability assessments and developing SOPs.

Be fully familiar with the park layout, emergency systems, and security equipment.

Conduct annual performance reviews with security colleagues and support their professional development.

Other Duties

Maintain the Daily Logbook and incident reports, report lost & found items, and adhere to all rules and regulations.

Ensure punctuality, proper uniform, and personal hygiene.

Maintain good relationships with colleagues across departments and participate in training and departmental activities.

Support departmental trainers and undertake secondary duties as assigned.

Respond to departmental changes and project a positive attitude.

Understand department policies and procedures.

Occasional Duties

Assist with inventory of operating equipment and undertake other reasonable duties as assigned.

Desired Candidate Profile

Possess a professional diploma or certificate in safety and security. Minimum of 2 years' experience as an Assistant Security Manager or Senior Security Officer in a larger operation.

Possess good practical, operational, and administrative skills.
