Job summary

The Kanoo Group in the United Arab Emirates seeks a finance professional to oversee management reporting, investment monitoring, and robust financial controls. You will provide accurate insights to senior management and the Board while supporting investment analysis and ensuring strong financial reporting.

Responsibilities include managing MIS, developing Power BI dashboards, coordinating tax and compliance, and supporting treasury and family office reporting.

Qualifications

• Must hold professional qualification in Accounting or Finance such as CA or ACCA.
• 3-5 years of experience in management reporting, financial analysis, investment reporting, consolidation and financial controls.
• UAE experience is preferred.
• Strong proficiency in Advanced Excel, Power BI, Microsoft Office 365, Outlook, and Teams.

Job Overview-

The role is responsible for management reporting, auditing, investment portfolio monitoring, financial control, tax and compliance coordination, and treasury support. The position will provide accurate and timely financial insights to senior management and the Board, while supporting investment-related analysis and ensuring effective financial reporting and controls.

Job Responsibilities-

Management Reporting

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual MIS reports for senior management and Board review.
• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and automate financial reporting processes.
• Analyze financial data and provide meaningful insights to support management decisions.

Investment Portfolio Management

• Monitor and report on quoted and unquoted investment portfolios.
• Conduct investment valuation, performance analysis, and risk assessment.
• Support investment acquisition and disposal decisions through financial analysis.
• Prepare reports and presentations for Investment Committee and management review.

Audit & Financial Control

• Support internal and external audit functions, including preparation of schedules, supporting documents, and responses to audit queries.
• Review trial balances, account reconciliations, and financial records to ensure accuracy.
• Monitor compliance with accounting, credit, and internal control policies.
• Assist in the preparation of statutory and audited financial statements.
• Identify financial control gaps and support corrective actions.

Tax & Compliance

• Coordinate corporate tax compliance activities across various divisions.
• Support transfer pricing activities related to accounting and financial reporting.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting, tax, and internal policies.

Treasury & Family Office Support

• Act as backup to the Manager - Treasury & Family Accounting during periods of absence.
• Support cash flow monitoring and treasury reporting.
• Assist with other finance and family office reporting requirements as required.

Job Requirements-

• Professional qualification in Accounting or Finance such as CA or ACCA.
• Strong accounting and financial reporting knowledge.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in management reporting, financial analysis, investment reporting, consolidation and financial controls, with mandatory SAP experience.
• UAE experience is preferred.
• Strong proficiency in Advanced Excel, Power BI, Microsoft Office 365, Outlook, and Teams.
• Good understanding of tax, compliance, and financial reporting requirements.
• Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Professional, reliable, and collaborative personality with the ability to work effectively with senior management and various stakeholders.
