About the Job:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Manager to join The Lifeguard Operations team in Jumeirah Wild Wadi Waterpark. The main duties and responsibilities of this role include:

  • Assist in organizing the effective and efficient deployment of lifeguards to ensure optimal staffing levels at all times.
  • Aid in the implementation and delivery of ongoing training programs for lifeguards, ensuring all staff maintain high levels of skill and professionalism.
  • Ensure all lifeguards adhere to safety standards and regulatory requirements, including certification and licensing as per E&A standards and DAC requirements.
  • Assist in responding to major first aid incidents and emergencies, providing leadership and support to ensure effective resolution.
  • Participated in conducting regular performance appraisals for lifeguards, providing feedback and development plans to improve staff performance.
  • Collaborate with other departments within the water park and associated resorts to ensure smooth operational processes and guest satisfaction.

About you:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation Management, Sports Science, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a leadership role pertinent to lifeguard operations or customer service role.
  • Software competencies – Microsoft Office programs (Intermediate)
  • Leadership and team management skills
