Job summary

A leading company in the UAE is seeking a Legal Assistant to support the Legal Manager in tenant-related legal matters. Responsibilities include coordinating eviction procedures, following up on outstanding payments, and liaising with governmental bodies. The ideal candidate will possess a law degree and at least five years of relevant experience, with strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of a Law University with post-degree qualification preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a similar legal field.
  • Good understanding of UAE Rental Laws.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate Judicial Evictions and follow up post-eviction processes.
  • Communicate with government authorities regarding defaulter tenants.
  • Assist the Legal Team with documentation and filing.

Job description

Responsible for assisting the Legal Manager in collecting the outstanding amounts for the ongoing and closed case, and to follow up the enforcement procedures including the eviction and the following process of the eviction, meeting and negotiating with the tenants, and visiting and following up with the government and judicial authorities.

Job responsibilities:

  • Meeting the Court Bailiff at any of the Company s properties to carry out the Judicial Evictions and coordinating with ARRE Technicians to finalize the Eviction.
  • Following up and executing post eviction process (communications, auction etc.)
  • Following up the collection of the closed cases, by calling the tenant and following up with them to push them to complete the payments.
  • Following up with the current defaulter tenants to push them to make the payments.
  • Visiting government authorities (RDC, Dubai Police, Courts, Notary Public etc.)
  • Following up enforcement procedures (checking tenants bank accounts, properties, TL etc)
  • Following up with the banks, RTA, DLD, DED, and other authorities to inquire and freeze defaulter tenant s assets.
  • Assisting the Legal Team by carrying out the filing works and maintaining the legal archive updated and organized.
  • Meeting tenants and negotiating settlements.

Educational Qualification:

  • Law University Graduate, preferably post degree qualification in Law

Work Experience:

  • Min experience of (5) years in a similar field.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of the UAE Laws with a good experience of Rental Laws.
  • Possess Legal knowledge/acumen.
  • Ability to communicate with the Government and Litigation Entities.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong public relations and communication skills.
