Assistant Manager - IT Core Banking Support (T24 & LOS)

Job Purpose
The position will assist the bank in Level I support including business support and functional support to users. To analyze and investigate the reported issues in an effective and timely manner, handling service desk incidents, raising defects for issues requiring fixes along with first level analysis (FLA) report.

Key Accountabilities

  • Ensures that efficient and accurate support is provided to the Bank's operation team for the T24 Core Banking system & Finnone LOS application.
  • Administer, deploy, support and maintain the T24 Core Banking system & LOS application to ensure the applications work effectively and efficiently to support banking operations at all times.
  • Ensure the Core Banking System together with the related channels are available to business units and customers on a 24/7 basis.
  • Efficiently manage changes by ensuring that problem management and change management procedures are adhered to and problems are tracked to resolution.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot system errors to minimize downtime, and provide support for COB issues on production Core Banking Application.
  • Monitor and resolve the assigned incidents on a daily basis and track issues requiring support.
  • Document the configuration of the T24 Core Banking system & LOS application for easy support.
  • Liaise with the business users to ensure that service delivery meets the agreed service levels.
  • Interpret business requirements correctly to the development team.
  • Be fluent in T24 Core Banking System parameterization according to user requests.
  • Coordinate with T24 Core Banking System vendor & LOS vendor for product issues requiring fixes and patches.
  • Simulate and apply fixes provided by the development team and the vendor to keep the system up-to-date in terms of functionality and productivity.

Key Skills

Technical Competencies

  • Must have experience and proven functional skills in Islamic Core Banking System (T24-R23 Core Banking System from Temenos).
  • Should have handled the support for AA, TPH, T24 Limit, Collateral, Loans and Deposits, Money Market, Trade Finance, and GL modules.
  • Experience in working with FinnOne LOS application.
  • Experience in Oracle SQL- PL/SQL Unix, Windows, Java, IBM WAS, MQ, and related technologies.
  • Very good understanding of the Banking domain and processes.
  • Thorough understanding and knowledge of various systems, banking applications, and delivery channels.
  • Strong knowledge of troubleshooting and issue rectification in the system.
  • Experience in incident management and level I support.
  • Problem-solving and crisis handling skills in an efficient manner.
  • High commitment to work under pressure and self-motivation.

Other Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

Minimum Experience: At least eight (8) years of experience in daily operation support in Core Banking systems. Experience in Islamic Bank is desirable.
