A leading airport is seeking a supervisor for their GSE workshop. The role involves overseeing maintenance planning, coordinating with various teams, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The ideal candidate will manage resources effectively and resolve issues in a fast-paced environment.
Supervises GSE workshop activities engaged in all phases of maintenance planning, inspection, repair, and service of GSE and vehicles. Prepares documents for audit purposes.
Plans, organizes, and supervises aircraft associated equipment maintenance, inspection, and repair activities. Plans and schedules work assignments, workloads, and maintenance procedures.
Coordinates with management, maintenance control, inspection, and lead engineers/mechanics on all work assignments, progress, delays, and manpower requirements.
Checks methods and techniques employed in inspection, maintenance, repair, and service of components and installed equipment.
Coordinates with Procurement, Operations, Training, and other maintenance activities to improve procedures and resolve problems.
Ensures all maintenance requirements are met within his area of assignment. Arranges and checks that tools, equipment, spare parts, and other materials are available for work packages, and initiates requisitions.
Checks proper use, storage, and maintenance of tools, and arranges for repairs if necessary.
Observes performance to ensure compliance with publications, technical orders, and work standards.
Prepares staff briefings and general correspondence related to his area of responsibility.
Resolves problems faced by workshop personnel and ensures completion according to schedules.
Carries out other duties such as ensuring observance of fire and safety rules, checking maintenance of tools and equipment, maintaining good housekeeping, and preparing activity, status, and statistical reports.
Responsible for complying with applicable laws, regulations, and procedures of the airport.
Responsible for reporting occurrences, events, violations, and acts that may affect safety, security, and the company's reputation to superiors.
