An opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Manager to join our team in premium J-Club at Jumeirah Beach Hotel. The main duties and responsibilities of this role are:

1. To plan / organize and direct the overall operation of the Fitness & Group Classes divisions within the J Club, maintaining established quality standards. To plan, implement and promote activities throughout the club including special events.
2. Conduct interviews with candidates to ensure quality hires. Training and supervising staff including drawing up fitness staff rotas and weekly 1/2/1s.
3. Designing and promoting activities to meet customer demand and generate revenue.
4. Conducting health & safety on facility and plant (snag list) and arranging for maintenance, repairs and cleaning of facility and equipment.
5. Maintaining the Jumeirah high levels of customer service with the focus of avoiding the loss of existing members and achieving set customer service standards.
6. Deliver up to 50 PT sessions per month, cover any needed group classes, prepare monthly fitness challenge.

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

1. To have obtained and passed Personal Training Certification from reputable organisation such as The American Council on Exercise (ACE) or similar with an equivalent of REPS level 3.
2. Minimum 2 years managing fitness department in any fitness company / working in the Health and Fitness industry in a 5 star Hospitality environment.
3. Good interpersonal, time management and organizational skills.
4. The ability to work within, as well as to lead and motivate, a team.
