Job Title: Assistant Manager Financial Control
Nair Systems is currently seeking an Assistant Manager for Financial Control for our UAE operations. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, commerce, or a related field.
- Professional Qualifications: Diplomas or professional qualifications such as CPA, ACCA, or CA are mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of post-degree experience in the banking industry, including at least 3 years in Financial Control and ICFR.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of finance and accounting concepts, understanding of banking systems and reconciliation frameworks, proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, excellent communication skills in English, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- General Ledger Management: Maintain Chart of Accounts, perform periodic reviews, ensure quality of balance sheet substantiation, and support GL and office account creation.
- GL Reconciliations: Conduct daily variance analysis, perform monthly, quarterly, and annual reviews, and ensure proper documentation and resolution of discrepancies.
- ICFR Testing and Compliance: Support internal control testing, monitor compliance, assist in Risk Control Self-Assessment, and escalate risks as needed.
- Process Improvement and Automation: Identify inefficiencies, implement automation solutions, and work with IT to enhance system controls.
- System Implementation Support: Assist in system upgrades, review interfaces, troubleshoot issues, and ensure data accuracy.
