Job summary

A leading company in UAE is seeking a Financial Manager to oversee financial planning and execution of accounting duties while ensuring governance and analytical capabilities. This role is crucial for maintaining internal controls, managing budgets, and ensuring timely financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a CA/ACCA/CPA qualification and strong experience with Oracle accounting software.

Qualifications

  • 6 years relevant experience in financial & management accounting.
  • Experience in auditing and costing is advantageous.

Job description

JOB PURPOSE

To be accountable in planning and execution of financial duties of the company and its projects, whilst providing financial leadership, governance and analytical capabilities whereby fulfilling all required outputs of the accounting department.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Handle full spectrum of financial and cost accounting role form Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payables, General Ledger, forecasting, budgeting etc.
  • Responsible for finance and accounts operations from handling accounting entries, bookkeeping and daily accounting operations, whilst maintaining digital and physical financial records.
  • Develop and maintain internal controls and effective accounting systema and policies for the setting up of the Finance department.
  • Keep track of all payments /expenditures including payroll, invoices, statements etc.
  • Review & approve payment vouchers & journal entries.
  • Handle all client/vendor queries related to their payments and accounts-related queries.
  • Responsible for timely closing of monthly set of accounts, consolidated financial statements, payments, cash-flow, and other MIS reporting.
  • Perform cash flow forecasting, budgeting, cost tracking and working closely with the operations and project teams.
  • Ensuring that inter-company cost allocations are in line with management agreements and transfer pricing policy.
  • Consultative with the respective departments on cost reduction initiatives.
  • Preparation of VAT returns refund applications.
  • Capture Business requirements for any proposed changes to Oracle ERP system and get the enhancements done by coordinating with ERP technical vendor.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Qualified CA/ACCA/CPA
  • 6 years of relevant experience in financial & management accounting.
  • Relevant experience in auditing and costing is advantageous.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent strategic planning skills and able to interact with all levels.
  • Must have experience of Oracle Accounting Software like Oracle NetSuite/EBS/Fusion.
  • Good MS Office skills particularly strong capabilities in MS Excel.
