Job summary

WOW Softech in Dubai invites an Assistant Manager - Design (Womenswear, wovens) with 5–8 years of proven experience to join our fast-paced fashion retail team. You will support the Design Manager in seasonal direction, develop technical sketches and prints, and collaborate across Merchandising to maintain design integrity.

The role requires a BA in Fashion Design (NIFT or Pearl preferred), strong English communication, and proficiency in Illustrator/Photoshop; CLO 3D knowledge is an asset.

Qualifications

• BA in Fashion Design required, preferably from NIFT or Pearl Institutes.
• 5–8 years of proven womenswear design experience for wovens in fashion retail.
• Strong command of English and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in Illustrator/Photoshop; CLO 3D experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Research and interpret market trends relevant to the brand and target customer.
• Assist Design Manager in seasonal range building and directional planning.
• Manage creative and technical development of products.
• Ensure consistency across product lines and brand message.
• Develop technical sketches and prints for new products.
• Collaborate with Merchandising to ensure design integrity and execution.
• Participate in product and trend presentations; build cross-functional partnerships.
• Plan seasonal ranges and tech packs within set timelines.

Role: Assistant Manager - Design (Womenswear - wovens)

Location: Dubai, UAE

Qualification : A minimum of a BA Qualification in Fashion Design (Preferably NIFT or Pearl Institutes)

Experience Required: 5-8 years of proven professional experience in designing for womenswear for wovens within fashion retail.

Role & responsibilities

• Research, interpret and apply market trends appropriate to the brand/ target customer
• Assist Design Manager in seasonal range building and seasonal direction
• Manage creative and technical development of product
• Build consistency throughout product lines to ensure a clear message is delivered while continuing to grow as an authentic, value fashion retailer
• Develop technical sketches and graphics/prints for new products
• Collaborate with Merchandising team to achieve product execution and maintain design integrity
• Be actively involved in product and trend presentations
• Develop and maintain strong partnerships with cross functional teams
• Plan and execute seasonal ranges and tech packs in a fast paced environment, as per the set critical path

Preferred candidate profile

• Have a strong eye for trend spotting, colour, prints, graphics, fabrics and silhouettes
• Technical proficiency in garment construction
• Ability to sketch and render in Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop
• Knowledge of CLO 3D will be an added asset, though not a pre-requisite for the role
• Great eye and proficiency in developing placement graphics and/or all over prints
• Team player with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization
• Strong communication and presentation skills (in English)
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and seasonal calendars
