Job summary

WOW Softech in Dubai seeks an Assistant Manager - Design Womenswear for wovens to drive trend interpretation, seasonal range development, and cross‑functional product development. You will support the Design Manager in direction setting and ensure design integrity across product lines.

The role requires 5–8 years in womenswear design, strong sketching/graphics capability, and English communication skills. Proficiency in CLO 3D is a plus, and collaboration with Merchandising is essential.

Qualifications

• BA in Fashion Design; preferably from NIFT or Pearl Institutes.
• 5–8 years of proven experience designing womenswear for wovens in fashion retail.
• Proficiency in trend interpretation and seasonal range development.
• Strong communication and presentation skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Research, interpret and apply market trends appropriate to the brand target customer.
• Assist Design Manager in seasonal range building and direction.
• Manage creative and technical development of product.
• Develop technical sketches and graphics prints for new products.
• Collaborate with Merchandising to achieve product execution and maintain design integrity.
• Plan and execute seasonal ranges and tech packs in a fast-paced environment.

Qualification

A minimum of a BA Qualification in Fashion Design Preferably NIFT or Pearl Institutes

Experience Required

5-8 years of proven professional experience in designing for womenswear for wovens within fashion retail

Role & responsibilities

Research interpret and apply market trends appropriate to the brand target customer Assist Design Manager in seasonal range building and seasonal direction Manage creative and technical development of product Build consistency throughout product lines to ensure a clear message is delivered while continuing to grow as an authentic value fashion retailer Develop technical sketches and graphics prints for new products Collaborate with Merchandising team to achieve product execution and maintain design integrity Be actively involved in product and trend presentations Develop and maintain strong partnerships with cross functional teams Plan and execute seasonal ranges and tech packs in a fast paced environment as per the set critical path

Preferred candidate profile

• Have a strong eye for trend spotting, colour, prints, graphics, fabrics and silhouettes


• Technical proficiency in garment construction


• Ability to sketch and render in Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop


• Knowledge of CLO 3D will be an added asset, though not a pre-requisite for the role


• Great eye and proficiency in developing placement graphics and/or all over prints


• Team player with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization


• Strong communication and presentation skills (in English)


• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and seasonal calendars
