Job Purpose
Supervise the overall operation of the Card Room and keep accurate records and stock levels of playing cards and dice
Essential Duties
Daily Operations
- Oversee the delivery of playing cards from the card production to Table Game pit areas
- Maintain and control Card Room inventory and ensure sufficient stock for daily operations
- Assist the Manager to handle the logistics of stock deliveries by the vendor
- Coordinate with Gaming departments and respond promptly to their requests
- Prepare monthly reports for the Manager
- Be alert and advise Manager of any suspicious activities or issues with Attendants performance
- Assist and perform duties assigned by the Manager and assume responsibilities in the Manager’s absence
- Train and lead the Card Room team to operate the Card Track System (CTS) accurately
- Assist the Manger to monitor and regulate the card room equipment in working condition
- Assist the Manger to receive and verify playing cards consignment at Loading Bay and transfer to Secured Card Storage Areas
- Allocating cards usage from Secure Card Storage Room to Card Room for cards preparation
- Oversee the manpower according to business demands
People Management and Training
- Train and lead the Card Room team to provide efficient, accurate and secure card transport and tracking service
- Coach, motivate, counsel and evaluate Attendants
- Test and correct any deviations from Card Room procedures swiftly through on the job training
- Assess work quality standards and arrange refresher training to maintain Team Members’ competency levels
- Participate in regular department briefings and share relevant information
- Delegate tasks fairly and equitably among the Attendants and promote teamwork
- Approve and manage Team Members’ breaks and ensure manpower meets business demands
- Approve overtime/undertime and attendance records promptly
- Monitor Team Members’ manners and grooming according to Company standards
- Promote a work environment where team members feel valued, appreciated and involved
Company And Department Responsibilities
- Report daily progress to the Manager
- Interact with Department and Company Team Members, management, and contractors professionally and positively
- Attend Department and inter-Department meetings and share relevant information
- Encourage good relationships, promote team spirit, and ensure effective two-way and multicultural communications
- Adhere to the Company policies and procedures and comply with the Code of Conduct
- Remain well-mannered and well-groomed as per Department and Company standards
- Follow health and safety standards and strive for constant improvement to avoid health and injury hazards
- Participate in the Company recycling program and follow a strict discipline to reduce, re-use and recycle wherever possible
People Management And Training
- Create training plan for initial onboarding and future onboarding
- Build a training step by step guide “how to”
- Ensure the team delivers Wynn Al Marjan Island’s high standards of quality, service, and guest satisfaction
- Provide supervision, direction and leadership to the team to achieve department goals
- Establish quarterly reviews with each team member to discuss progress, goals and areas for growth
- Delegate tasks fairly and equitably among the team and encourage teamwork
- Develop and share your vision of Catering Sales
- Coach, motivate, counsel and evaluate staff and encourage their participation in decision-making
- Make decisions about staff hiring
- Promote a work environment where employees feel valued, appreciated, involved, equal and safe
Education
- Secondary school diploma or equivalent is an advantage
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years’ Card Room supervisory experience or table games an advantage
- Minimum of 2 years’ Card Track System experience an advantage
