Job summary

Qualifications

Job description

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily accounting operations such as accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and general ledger for Middle East regional entities.
  • Ensure accurate and timely closure of monthly, quarterly, and annual accounts per IFRS and relevant tax/legal frameworks.
  • Supervise financial statement preparation, reporting, and budget forecasting across multiple countries.
  • Manage bank account reconciliations, cash flow, and statutory payments for different jurisdictions.
  • Drive compliance with group accounting policies and regional/internal financial controls, including UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, and more.
  • Coordinate and support statutory/internal audits for entities across the Middle East, resolving audit queries promptly.
  • Collaborate with consultants for VAT and tax compliance in each country, staying current on changing regulations.
  • Mentor junior accountants and support their skills development in multicountry settings.
  • Lead or support ERP system operations, upgrades, and improvements
  • Identify accounting process improvement opportunities and help implement best-in-class solutions.
  • Prepare periodic management reports and deliver actionable insights for Management.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA, or ACCA with a minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in finance/accounting.
  • Deep understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), local tax, and regulatory requirements across the Middle East.
  • Proven experience with ERP systems, including report generation, transaction processing, and user support.
  • Strong MS Office skills
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and skilled in financial data management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration in multicultural, multilingual teams.
  • Experience managing audits, interacting with external auditors, and implementing internal financial controls.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of UAE/GCC VAT, and ability to adapt to evolving regional regulations.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • High integrity and professionalism in handling confidential information.
