Assistant Manager

Job Purpose:

The Assistant Manager is responsible for serving customers on the floor and assisting the Shop/Department Manager in the effective running of the Shop/Department in order to ensure the highest standards of customer service are achieved and maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Communicate sales plans and targets to the shop/department team, monitor their performance continuously, and advise upper management on necessary corrective actions.
2. Assign routine and non-routine tasks to sales associates, cashiers, and coordinators to optimize operational efficiency and ensure tasks are completed effectively.
3. Greet customers and ensure that they are served by shop staff in a timely manner and in compliance with quality and customer service standards.
4. Report operational issues promptly and address customer complaints, providing solutions or escalating as needed to ensure both operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
5. Handle or assist the Shop/Department Manager in handling the maintenance of inventories and placement of product orders to ensure effective stock management and availability of products.
6. Motivate team members and provide them with the necessary support in terms of training and development in order to optimize sales results.
7. Supervise the shop's opening and closing processes to ensure compliance with established procedures for petty cash, reporting, and other requirements. Ensure accurate delivery to the accounting department in accordance with company policies and security standards as necessary.
8. Ensure compliance with store policies and operations, while consistently monitoring Business KPIs such as LFL progression, Conversion Rate, Average Ticket, etc.
9. Contribute to maintain qualitative standards in terms of brand image including the layout, merchandising, and proper housekeeping of the store.
10. Consistently monitor the proper execution in the stores and address any gap in compliance with corporate policies or local laws.
11. Recruit, train, motivate, and evaluate team members to ensure they have the necessary skill base and required image and that they are optimally enabled to maximize their potential contribution to the company; Conduct daily Japanese meetings to keep the staff informed and engaged.
12. Train the team on products, makeup application techniques and selling techniques to deliver an exciting customer experience.
13. Deliver business goals as defined with the Store Manager.
14. Guarantee that stores are compliant with all the brand's standards and store procedures, while executing promotional calendars.
15. Prepare detailed reports on key performance indicators (KPIs), sales trends, inventory status, and team productivity to keep managers informed and support effective decision-making.
16. Assist in scheduling staff to align efficiently with operational needs while optimizing costs for the shop/department.
