Job description

Leadership
  1. Lead the unit to achieve staff individual objectives and personal growth objectives in a cohesive manner.
  2. Develop and oversee the implementation of a program for Accident Prevention and Safety Recommendations human capacity building.
  3. Oversee the consolidation of the unit's budget, recommend financial allocations, and monitor financial performance.
  4. Lead strategic projects, initiatives, and programs related to Accident Prevention and Safety Recommendations with internal and external stakeholders.
  5. Act as the UAE National Coordinator for the Aviation Disaster Family Assistance Plan in collaboration with the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority.
Accident Prevention and Safety Recommendations Management
  1. Manage safety recommendations activities, ensuring targets are met and all recommendations are recorded.
  2. Review remedy actions submitted by safety recommendation addressees, evaluate them, and present findings and proposed responses to the Safety Recommendation Panel.
  3. Develop, improve, and monitor policies for safety recommendations of Global Concern (SRGC), conduct risk analysis, and propose implementation strategies.
  4. Lead and manage the AAIS education and training programs for both internal and external stakeholders.
  5. Represent AAIS in SSP-related activities by participating in the UAE State Safety Program (SSP).
  6. Review safety studies, reports, and analyses; plan their scope; and approve based on established processes and guidelines.
  7. Manage the development of periodic safety recommendations status reports.
  8. Oversee the preparation of the AAIS Annual Performance Report.
Database and Knowledge Sharing

Lead and participate in national and international aviation safety seminars, forums, and workshops to acquire new knowledge, techniques, and mechanisms in safety data sharing.

Knowledge and Experience

University degree in a technical discipline relevant to the aviation industry or equivalent aviation technical qualification, with a minimum of 7 years of experience in Aviation Safety.
