Job summary

ENPI Group is seeking an Assistant Maintenance Manager in Sharjah, UAE to ensure plant equipment meets production targets. You will lead daily maintenance, optimize machinery performance, and guide technicians while enforcing safety standards.

The role requires 5 years of hands-on maintenance and 4 years in a supervisory capacity within printing/packaging or related high-speed manufacturing environments. Willingness to implement Lean/ TPM methodologies is essential.

Qualifications

• The candidate should hold a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in a related technical field.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing/printing environment.
• 4 years in a supervisory maintenance role with Lean/ TPM exposure.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and supervise daily maintenance activities across the facility.
• Inspect equipment to identify inefficiencies and optimize performance.

Job Purpose

The Asst. Maintenance Manager ensures that plant and equipment perform to required standards to facilitate production targets. This role is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of company production equipment and facilities, while contributing to cost savings in energy and maintenance management.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, organizing, and supervising daily maintenance activities across the facility.
• Inspect equipment to identify operational inefficiencies and facilitate optimization.
• Supervise maintenance technicians and provide technical guidance and support.
• Conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Assist in developing maintenance schedules, SOPs, and comprehensive maintenance programs.
• Monitor spare-parts inventory and ensure the availability of critical components.
• Effectively and efficiently manage equipment breakdowns.
• Assist in carrying out planned preventive maintenance on all plant and equipment to achieve maximum availability.
• Oversee machinery and equipment maintenance operations, including ordering parts, inspection, and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate closely with team members to meet operational deadlines and support production targets.

Qualification & Experience

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.
• 5 years of hands-on maintenance experience in the printing industry, with demonstrated exposure to automation and PLC-based systems.
• 4 years in a supervisory maintenance role within printing, packaging, or a comparable high-speed manufacturing environment.
• Proven track record in improving OEE and implementing Lean / TPM methodologies.
• Industrial Training Certification (mechanical / electrical)

Required Skills

• Strong Skill set in leading, machine troubleshooting and increasing overall factory reliability.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and industrial equipment.
• People management skills.
• Excellent knowledge of all production processes.
• Good presentation skills, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, P&IDs, electrical schematics, and equipment manuals.
