Job Purpose
To optimize logistical operations of the marine fleet by ensuring safety, compliance, and efficiency. The role includes coordinating vessel procurement, facilitating customer transactions at ferry terminals, and managing travel logistics and welfare for crew members.
Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities
• Act as the primary contact for vessel procurement, sourcing, and coordinating required materials, equipment, and services.
• Negotiate with suppliers, manage contracts, and monitor inventory levels for marine operations.
• Handle customer service tasks including ticket issuance, pricing inquiries, and cargo prioritization at the Delma–Mugharraq Ferry line.
• Collect payments via cash or card and explain port tariffs and ticket pricing to customers.
• Assist customers in arranging port passes when required.
• Identify and prioritize cargo types for processing.
• Perform administrative tasks related to fleet operations, ensuring smooth interdepartmental communication.
• Maintain vessel-related certifications and ensure timely renewals for compliance.
• Ensure timely availability of materials and logistical support for fleet readiness.
People Management Responsibilities
• Manage crew welfare needs, including accommodation and provisioning.
• Coordinate logistics and travel plans for crew members, ensuring smooth and timely arrangements.
Strategic Responsibilities
• Oversee maintenance and repair projects of vessels by coordinating dry-docking schedules and activities to ensure vessel readiness and optimal performance.
Qualifications
• Education: Knowledge of marine operations and applicable international marine conventions and standards.
• Languages: Proficiency in Arabic and English (spoken and written).
• Experience:
• Minimum 2 years for UAE Nationals
• Minimum 4 years for expatriates
