What you will do

Create motivating work environment.

  1. Oversee the day-to-day operation in areas relating to the Housekeeping and Laundry Department and to administer the supervision of all staff in conjunction with the Assistant Director of Housekeeping / Rooms Lead.
  2. Ensure the ultimate comfort, cleanliness and safety for all of our guests, as expected in a Four Seasons Hotel.
  3. Properly schedule staff and coordinate the daily assignment of work.
  4. Manage department labor to ensure maximum efficiency and productivity for the hotel.
  5. Interview and train the staff. Hold team members accountable and discipline staff when needed.
  6. Properly open the Department. Check night report and prepare Laundry Attendants’ daily assignments.
  7. Assure the financial goals of the department are being met. Monitors and controls labor expense and other divisional expenses such as Uniforms, Linen, Guest Supplies, Cleaning Supplies and Contract Services.
  8. Monitor daily assignments to assure that productivity and quality standards are being met, staff is being supported and guest needs are being met.
  9. Ensure communication and follow-up on any problems, guest requests or special requirements.
  10. Resolve guest complaints, handling all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible.
  11. Take action in all matters related to the safety, security, satisfaction and well-being of hotel guests and employees.
  12. Check daily for maintenance conditions and submit the work orders for repairs through HOTSOS and follow through or escalate to the Director of Engineering.
  13. Linen and Uniform quality control – clean and stocked.
  14. Make inspection trips through entire hotel checking on production methods and procedures. Check washing formulas, making corrections and improvements whenever possible.
What you bring
  1. Minimum of 2 years of laundry management experience.
  2. Fluent in English (verbal and writing).
  3. Preferred experience in a luxury hotel in Housekeeping or equivalent with Four Seasons or another organization.
  4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. High level of attention to detail.
  6. Flexibility with schedule - Able to work weekdays, weekends, holidays, evening / overnight shifts.
  7. Strong knowledge of linen inventory, stain removal and chemicals.
