Responsibilities
- Ensure consistently strong operational support for all hotel IT systems and users, minimizing downtime and maximizing system availability.
- Provide hands-on technical support for hardware, software, network, and telephony issues.
- Maintain excellent product and system knowledge, leveraging it to deliver full system benefits across departments.
- Ensure compliance with all legal requirements on IT governance, security, and data protection.
- Diagnose and resolve IT issues quickly and effectively, escalating to external vendors when necessary.
- Proactively identify current and future IT needs and implement cost-effective solutions.
- Maintain accurate documentation of IT assets, configurations, and system processes.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with all hotel departments to support operational needs.
- Manage IT-related budgets, procurement, and vendor contracts to ensure value and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Previous relevant hotel experience in a similar role is required.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft systems and hands-on experience with hardware, software, networking, databases, telephony, and enterprise applications.
- Familiarity with hotel applications such as Fidelio and Micros.
- Experience in planning, implementing, and managing IT infrastructure and operations, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide effective solutions.
- Solid understanding of cloud solutions, IT systems, networks, and cybersecurity protocols, including compliance and data protection regulations.
- Ability to plan ahead, anticipate potential issues, and implement contingency solutions when necessary.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently as the sole IT representative and effectively support both guests and team members.
- Experience managing IT projects, budgets, and vendor relationships, with strong organizational and prioritization skills.
- Up-to-date technical knowledge of IT infrastructure trends and technologies, including system development methodologies and business applications.
- A proactive and flexible approach to work, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities, respond quickly to unexpected issues, and recommend innovative solutions to continuously improve IT operations.
- A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is advantageous.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve issues independently.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- High level of IT proficiency and eagerness to stay updated on new technologies.
- Self-motivated with a willingness to continuously develop skills and grow professionally.
