OVERVIEW / BASIC FUNCTION :
Assist the IT Manager in managing and organizing the IT sector of the operation to the highest professional standards, following established procedures issued by management, the group IT Director, and hardware/software manufacturers. Execute assigned tasks independently with the necessary confidentiality. Administer the entire system, follow up on hardware and software issues, instruct users on new applications, onboard newcomers, and manage access codes confidentially. Assist guests with internet-related issues.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Comply with all relevant policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate managerial abilities and team leadership skills.
- Implement and follow corporate manuals consistently.
- Align activities with the company's vision, mission, and values.
- Support the IT Manager and Director of Finance in various matters.
- Plan and set targets for IT operations.
- Establish clear IT procedures for each user group.
- Coordinate technical guidance with the Electronics Engineer.
- Assist in developing IT modifications, updates, and their implementation.
- Identify areas for improvement in existing systems with updated software and hardware.
- Work with lead users to evaluate business systems regularly.
- Ensure documentation of all software development and technical projects.
- Prepare or assist in preparing user manuals, checklists, and procedures.
- Continuously review and evaluate system configurations.
- Monitor relations with hardware/software vendors regarding maintenance and supplies.
- Update knowledge through relevant courses about the systems used.
- Review requests for new applications with the Electronics Engineer.
- Coordinate installation of new hardware, peripherals, and software.
- Maintain a clean and proper work environment.
- Perform duties assigned by the Financial Controller and Managing Director.
- Follow all SOPs, rules, and ethics of the IT Department and hotel training guidelines.
- Share all internal and external communications with the IT Department, including emails, social media, and calls.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an IT Supervisor in a 5-star hotel.
- Bachelor's degree in IT; professional certification preferred.
- Positive attitude, hardworking, team player.
- Technical skills include Sun system, Micros, Opera, Active Directory, networking, maintenance, and email communication.
Skills
- Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing); other languages are a plus.
- Physical ability to exert effort, perform physical movements, reach, remain stationary, and communicate effectively with guests and colleagues.
