About the Role

Newly created position!

We are seeking a seasoned Assistant HR Manager to be based in our Dubai Office. This role will be pivotal in refining and optimizing our processes for identifying, recruiting, developing, and retaining top talent, ensuring an exceptional employee experience across the Middle East region, including Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Saudi Arabia.

The HR Manager will be the main point of contact for all employees within their dedicated portfolio on HR matters. They will align with business goals, providing HR solutions for manpower planning, people issues, and other projects. This role requires effective communication between internal parties and active participation as a proactive business partner, responsible for supporting the Company's objectives, mission, and values on a daily basis.

This individual will be a strong contributor and report directly to the HR Director for APAC, Middle East, and North America, based in Hong Kong.

Business Partnering

  • Understand internal clients’ needs and provide HR guidance
  • Conduct regular meetings with stakeholders
  • Analyze trends and challenges and initiate solutions, programs, policies, and procedures
  • Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationship, increase productivity and retention
  • Build and maintain effective and collaborative relationships between HR and stakeholders
  • Drive changes and continuous improvement in-corporate with business directions

Recruitment

  • Drive end-to-end recruitment process in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Saudi Arabia
  • Know APM and act as brand ambassador to facilitate talent attraction
  • Obtain market intelligence and provide suggestions to enhance APM’s competitiveness

Performance & Talent Management

  • Partner with line managers on a range of talent management activities, such as leadership capability, performance management, team efficiency, and organization design
  • Coach and deliver talent management strategies to support organizational growth, talent management programs such as Individual Development Plan, Performance Improvement Plan
  • Provide rigorous HR data analysis and reporting solutions based on business needs
  • Manage and facilitate performance summary cycle

Employee Relation & Engagement

  • Drive culture-related initiative to create a good work environment aligning with APM core value, facilitate positive employee relations, build morale, and decrease involuntary turnover
  • Manage and resolve ER issue and conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations
  • Apply sophisticated knowledge of employment and exercise good judgement to solve conflicts
  • Utilize various tools to monitor employee engagement and propose prompt action plans

HR Operations

  • Possess in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day HR operations and management of employees to reduce legal risk and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation
  • Partner with C&B team and bridge the conversation in between HR and employees

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 8 years’ experience as an HR generalist in MNC, retail industry is preferable
  • Native in Arabic and fluent in English. Additional language will be a plus
  • Experiences in managing Saudi Arabian market is a must
  • A deep understanding of relevant employment law
  • Able to travel within the region frequently
  • Proactive, multitasking, fast-paced, independent and flexible
  • Good team player with strong sense of responsibility
