Job Description

The Assistant Housing Manager plays a key role in overseeing and supporting the smooth operation of hotel staff accommodations. This role is responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and well-organized living environment, ensuring that all housing policies are followed, and that the needs of our team members are met with efficiency and care. The role requires excellent organizational, communication, and people management skills, with a strong focus on service and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Housing Manager in the daily operations and administration of staff accommodation.
  • Supervise accommodation staff, including housekeeping, maintenance, and security personnel.
  • Monitor room allocations, occupancy records, and maintain updated housing rosters.
  • Conduct regular inspections of rooms and common areas to ensure cleanliness and maintenance standards are upheld.
  • Address and resolve any issues or concerns raised by team members related to housing facilities.
  • Coordinate with the maintenance team for timely repairs and upkeep of the accommodations.
  • Assist in implementing health, safety, and hygiene standards as per company policies and local regulations.
  • Support the onboarding process by preparing rooms for new joiners and conducting housing orientations.
  • Help manage housing inventory, assets, and supplies.
  • Ensure compliance with staff housing rules and assist in disciplinary actions related to housing violations when necessary.
  • Prepare regular reports on housing conditions, occupancy, maintenance needs, and staff feedback.
  • Maintain good relations with local authorities, landlords and suppliers to ensure compliance to all regulations and legislations
  • Responsible for organizing and overseeing social events and promoting overall wellbeing through initiatives and support.
Desired Skill & Expertise
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in staff accommodation management or a similar administrative/hospitality role.
  • Background in hotel operations or employee services preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Good organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays, when required.
  • Basic knowledge of Building maintenance (Electrical, Plumbing, Air conditioning and Carpentry)
