About The Job

Based at Mandarin Oriental Downtown Dubai, the Assistant Guest Services Manager will supervise the bell, door, and valet teams to provide luxurious guest service. Responsibilities include overseeing driveway operations, parking, and ensuring high standards of cleanliness and service. The role reports to the Chief Concierge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily departmental functions, including scheduling, transportation logistics, and event coordination.
  • Oversee bell, door, and valet services, ensuring safety, hygiene, and efficiency.
  • Monitor and report on productivity and luggage handling efficiency.
  • Promote teamwork, supervise daily operations, and facilitate communication across departments.
  • Maintain high service standards, address guest concerns, and provide local information.
  • Coordinate with Reservations and Front Office for group arrivals and guest needs.

Candidate Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; a degree in Hospitality, Hotel, or Business Management is preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a 5-star hotel, with 2 years in a luxury hotel Concierge role.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with systems like Alliants, ALICE, and Hotsos; experience with UAE hotel re-openings or renovations is a plus.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to meet diverse guest needs.
  • Effective communication skills in English; Arabic or other languages are advantageous.
  • Proven leadership skills, including mentoring and training, with the ability to perform under pressure.
