Position Overview: Atlantis Resorts is hiring an Assistant General Manager - Ling Ling in Dubai, UAE to support the Restaurant General Manager with the performance, profitability and daily operation of the restaurant at Atlantis The Royal. The position brings together luxury guest service, team leadership, financial planning, menu engineering, operational problem-solving and colleague development within a high-profile dining environment.

About the Role

As Assistant General Manager at Ling Ling, you will help oversee the restaurant's daily activities while maintaining a strong focus on guest satisfaction, operational efficiency and commercial performance. Working closely with the Restaurant General Manager, you will lead and develop colleagues, coordinate staffing requirements and ensure company policies, procedures and service standards are consistently implemented.

Guest Experience and Restaurant Standards

• Ensure guests receive attentive service within a welcoming and guest-focused environment.
• Maintain established guest service standards and brand specifications.
• Ensure team members demonstrate strong product knowledge.
• Handle guest comments and complaints professionally and use feedback to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Maintain restaurant merchandising, presentation and signage standards.
• Monitor inventory levels to support uninterrupted operations.
• Ensure guest preferences, feedback and comment card ratings are accurately recorded in the restaurant reservation system and Guest Comment Card Tool.
• Maintain compliance with company policies and established health and safety standards.

Team Leadership

• Recruit, train and develop restaurant team members.
• Communicate clear job expectations and operational requirements.
• Assess colleague performance regularly, including annual performance reviews.
• Coordinate staffing levels, recruitment and work schedules through effective planning.
• Train and guide colleagues during new product introductions and promotional programmes.
• Manage workplace conflict and resolve challenging situations involving guests, colleagues and direct reports.
• Maintain a hands-on leadership presence throughout restaurant operations.

Commercial and Financial Management

You will support financial control across the restaurant, including personnel, facilities, marketing, food preparation, quality and general business operations. The role includes preparing projections for future sales and expenses to establish realistic profit objectives. You will also complete quarterly menu engineering according to established procedures using the Menu Engineering Tool.

Operational Improvement

• Identify existing or potential operational problems.
• Develop and implement appropriate solutions.
• Monitor results following corrective action.
• Help minimize operating costs while protecting service and quality standards.
• Support employee retention through effective leadership and development.
• Contribute to initiatives designed to grow the restaurant business.
• Maintain consistent implementation of company standard operating procedures.

About You
