Job description

We are currently seeking passionate and dynamic Finance professionals who pride themselves on their ability to deliver extraordinary customer service and provide creative solutions to our guests.

As an Assistant Financial Controller, you will be responsible for assisting in managing all hotel accounting and financial requirements in an environment of tight control. Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Being familiar and up to date with all policies of both the hotel and Rotana Groups regarding standard practice instructions.
  2. Assisting in maintaining a system of internal controls to effectively control the assets and revenue of the hotel.
  3. Assisting in maintaining all accounting records of the hotel as prescribed by the Corporate Office.
  4. Ensuring compliance with all laws and fiscal regulations of the location affecting the hotel's financial matters.
  5. Safeguarding and updating all leases, contracts, and other legal records affecting the hotel's financial status.
  6. Supervising the month-end closing of books and the timely preparation of financial data.
  7. Ensuring proper handling of local tax matters, including income and other taxes.

Skills, Education, Qualifications & Experiences

You should hold a degree in hotel management or accounting, with at least three years of experience in a hotel environment. Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written, and strong computer literacy are essential. Knowledge of Opera, Micros, FBM, and SUN System is advantageous.
