The role oversees accounting, reporting, treasury, and budgeting functions, ensuring compliance with IFRS and company policies while supporting financial strategy and operational efficiency.

Black & Grey HR is hiring for an Assistant Finance Manager for a leading manufacturing company in Dubai. The role oversees accounting, reporting, treasury, and budgeting functions, ensuring compliance with IFRS and company policies while supporting financial strategy and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

Accounting & Reporting

  • Oversee general accounting operations, ensuring compliance with IFRS and internal policies.
  • Maintain and develop financial systems for AP, AR, cash management, and credit control.
  • Ensure accurate journal entries, reconciliations, and timely month-end closings.
  • Prepare and consolidate financial statements with budget analysis.
  • Support audits and ensure implementation of audit recommendations.
  • Manage VAT filing, ensure compliance with tax regulations.
  • Assist in stock verification, asset tracking, and CAPEX monitoring.
  • Review financial data to identify cost variances and support reporting.
  • Contribute to policy development and support insurance reporting.

Treasury & Cash Flow

  • Manage relationships with banks and secure financial facilities.
  • Prepare cash flow forecasts, monitor liquidity, and recommend hedging strategies.
  • Oversee vendor payments, AP aging, and ensure timely settlements.
  • Implement treasury policies and internal controls.

Budgeting & Planning

  • Assist in preparing annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term plans.
  • Coordinate with departments for timely and accurate submissions.
  • Ensure alignment with company financial goals and reporting deadlines.

Systems & Process Improvement

  • Monitor ERP system performance and coordinate with support vendors.
  • Drive process improvements and develop custom financial reports.
  • Ensure accurate control account postings and cost ledger maintenance.

Team Leadership

  • Set performance goals, provide feedback, and mentor finance team members.
  • Promote continuous learning and high performance across the finance team.
Requirements

Education & Certifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Qualified Accountant – CA / ACCA / CPA / ACA (Mandatory)
  • MBA in Finance (Preferred)

Experience :

  • 6-10 years of progressive finance experience within the manufacturing sector
  • GCC experience, especially UAE and KSA, is required
  • Strong background in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning

Technical Skills :

  • Advanced knowledge of IFRS and regulatory standards
  • Proficient in ERP systems (SAP / Oracle or equivalent)
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
  • Excellent reporting, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities
  • Proven leadership skills in developing high-performing finance teams
