Job description

Are you a finance professional with experience managing multivenue operations in hospitality leisure or recreation? This is your chance to join a leading Dubai-based hospitality group overseeing financial management for multisite entities including managed properties.

Specific responsibilities include:

Finance
  1. Liaison with the Finance managers at CLIENT to ensure timely closing of books of account.
  2. Managing day to day operations of finance, Accounts payable & Receivables.
  3. Ensuring monthly review of schedules & preparing variance analysis.
  4. Attending Business review meetings with owners.
  5. Manage cash flow planning, preparation of cash flow and ensure availability of funds as needed.
  6. Coordinating with Banks for daily operational requirement and managing relationships.
  7. Preparation of financials as per timelines.
  8. Preparation of VAT returns as per tax laws.
  9. Develop and utilize forward-looking predictive models and activity-based financial analysis to provide insight into the organizations operations.
  10. Coordinate financial reporting requirements of CLIENT (including managed properties) and wasl.
  11. Ensure timeliness, accuracy and usefulness of financial and management reporting.
Budgeting & Planning Policy and Investor Relations
  1. Coordinate and assist in preparation, development and monitoring of Budgets.
  2. Responsible for driving the Budgeting process through financial manager and consolidating the budget.
  3. Analyzing key performance indicators, monthly operating results and report significant trends to operational management.
  4. Conducting P&L review meetings with club managers, department heads along with finance managers.
  5. Participate in corporate policy development as a member of the management team.
  6. Remain up to date on audit best practices and IAS laws.
Accounting and Administration
  1. To ensure proper maintenance of all accounting systems.
  2. Contribute to maintenance of appropriate internal controls and financial procedures.
  3. Oversee the preparation and communication of monthly and annual financial statements.
  4. Coordinate audits both internal and external.
  5. Ensure legal and regulatory compliance regarding all financial functions.
  6. Finance organization chart to be constantly reviewed and updated.
Quality Responsibilities:
  1. Aware of CLIENT Mission Vision and Values. Will be responsible to apply the 4 Service Steps throughout serving internal and external customers.

Requirements:

  1. Chartered Accountant/MBA Finance or equivalent.
  2. Good leader and Team player.
  3. 7-10 years experience in a similar position.
  4. Experience in hospitality industry is a must.
  5. Ability to work long hours and under pressure and preempt potential problems.
  6. Computer Literate: MS Office/ Word / Excel / Power Point.
  7. Problem solver.
  8. Excellent knowledge in accounting packages. Working knowledge in SAP is preferred.
  9. Self-motivated.
  10. Customer oriented person who is able to interact with all nationalities and levels.
  11. Excellent supervision skills.
