Assistant Estimator

• Assist senior estimators in preparing detailed cost estimates for construction projects by analyzing blueprints and specifications.
• Conduct thorough market research to identify material and labor costs, ensuring estimates reflect current market conditions.
• Organize and maintain a database of historical costs and project data to improve the accuracy of future estimates.
• Collaborate with project managers and architects to clarify project requirements and scope, ensuring all aspects are considered in estimates.
• Prepare and submit bid proposals, ensuring all documentation is complete and deadlines are met.
• Utilize estimating software and tools to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of cost estimations.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to gather essential information and understand project constraints.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex drawings and specifications accurately.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools to manipulate and analyze cost data effectively.
• Fluency in English is required, while additional language skills can be an advantage in diverse teams.
• At least 2 years of experience in the construction industry, with exposure to estimating or project management roles.
