We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Director of Housekeeping to join our pre-opening team in Dubai. You will play a pivotal role in supporting the pre-opening, planning, set-up, and execution of all housekeeping operations in preparation for the hotel’s grand opening. This position requires a hands-on leader with exceptional organizational skills and a passion for delivering luxury-level cleanliness, service, and guest satisfaction.
Assist the Director of Housekeeping in overseeing all housekeeping functions, including rooms, public areas, laundry, and linen.
Lead the recruitment, onboarding, and training of the housekeeping team for pre-opening and operational phases.
Help develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs), cleaning protocols, and departmental policies.
Coordinate closely with other departments (Engineering, Front Office, Procurement) to ensure operational readiness before the opening.
Monitor cleaning schedules and quality standards during snagging and mock-up room inspections.
Ensure all housekeeping equipment, supplies, and inventory are in place and operational before launch.
Supervise daily housekeeping operations and ensure consistent service excellence post-opening.
Monitor staff performance, provide coaching and development, and ensure high team morale.
Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations, and ensure hygiene standards are met or exceeded.
Support sustainability initiatives and optimize inventory usage and linen lifecycle management.
Housekeeping experience in a luxury hotel environment
Previous experience in a pre-opening hotel project is strongly preferred.
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Hospitality Management or related field is an advantage.
Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Familiar with modern housekeeping software systems (e.g., Opera, HotSOS, Knowcross).
Exceptional attention to detail and a passion for cleanliness and guest service.
