Job Description
Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Director of Housekeeping to join our pre-opening team in Dubai. You will play a pivotal role in supporting the pre-opening, planning, set-up, and execution of all housekeeping operations in preparation for the hotel’s grand opening. This position requires a hands-on leader with exceptional organizational skills and a passion for delivering luxury-level cleanliness, service, and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Director of Housekeeping in overseeing all housekeeping functions, including rooms, public areas, laundry, and linen.

  • Lead the recruitment, onboarding, and training of the housekeeping team for pre-opening and operational phases.

  • Help develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs), cleaning protocols, and departmental policies.

  • Coordinate closely with other departments (Engineering, Front Office, Procurement) to ensure operational readiness before the opening.

  • Monitor cleaning schedules and quality standards during snagging and mock-up room inspections.

  • Ensure all housekeeping equipment, supplies, and inventory are in place and operational before launch.

  • Supervise daily housekeeping operations and ensure consistent service excellence post-opening.

  • Monitor staff performance, provide coaching and development, and ensure high team morale.

  • Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations, and ensure hygiene standards are met or exceeded.

  • Support sustainability initiatives and optimize inventory usage and linen lifecycle management.

Desired Skill & Expertise
Qualifications:
  • Housekeeping experience in a luxury hotel environment

  • Previous experience in a pre-opening hotel project is strongly preferred.

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Hospitality Management or related field is an advantage.

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

  • Familiar with modern housekeeping software systems (e.g., Opera, HotSOS, Knowcross).

  • Exceptional attention to detail and a passion for cleanliness and guest service.

  • Flexible with working hours and availability during pre-opening and opening phases.
