Job summary

Dusit Thani Laguna Singapore is seeking a senior sales leader to oversee catering and group sales. You will manage events from booking to execution, forecast budgets, and build strong client relationships to drive repeat business.

You will collaborate with the Director of Sales & Marketing to craft monthly forecasts and the annual business plan, while ensuring staffing levels match business demand and maintaining Dusit's renowned guest experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel Management or related field.
• At least 3 years of sales experience in a similar environment, preferably in a 5-star class.
• Excellent written and spoken English communications.
• Positive attitude with drive to excel and strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all catering and group sales in the hotel, from booking events to their execution.

Job description

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for all catering and group sales in the hotel, from booking events to their execution
• To prepare departmental budget and forecasts, operating within set parameters, ensure effective cost control
• To establish and maintain rapport with clients, prior to, throughout and post-conference, exceeding their expectations and encouraging repeat business.
• Conduct site inspections and sales activities as required.
• To work closely with the Director of Sales and Marketing to prepare monthly forecasts
• To develop the annual business and marketing plan for the department
• Achieves Banquet and Catering budget set out in the yearly business plan for the hotel.
• Appraises performance of Event Manager / Event Executive periodically according to Human Resources policy and initiates appropriate corrective measures to improve deficiencies.
• Manages the department to ensure sufficiency of manpower in accordance to volume of business.
• Ensures each staff is a good sales person to promote hotel's image and businesses at all times.
• Coaches and counsels all staff especially the department and unit manages when applicable.
• Provides and supports the most effective training to all staff regularly.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Sales & Marketing.

REPORT LINE & COMMUNICATION

• Reports to the Director of Sales and Marketing.
• Coordinates with all concerned personnel to ensure that all activities are accomplished.
• Communicates effectively with guest, clients, business partners and staff.

OTHERS

• Continuous learning through own IDP.
• Any other duties as may be assigned by the superior.

JOB REQUIREMENT

• Minimum education of Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel Management or relevant discipline
• Minimum of 3 years sales experience in a similar capacity, preferably in a 5-star class environment
• Have excellent communication skills in written and spoken English
• Have a positive attitude toward challenges and the drive to excel
• Possesses professional disposition with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
