Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Financial Systems Accountant to lead the ongoing design, implementation, and optimization of financial systems during the foundational phase of Wynn Al Marjan Island. This role is critical in establishing scalable, secure, and efficient financial infrastructure that supports rapid growth, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence.

Essential Duties & Tasks

System Design & Implementation

  • Oversee the implementation and optimization of the end-to-end implementation of Oracle ERP and related financial systems
  • Work with the Finance, IT and Product departments to define system architecture, financial modules, and financial workflows tailored to the business model
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into system configurations and customizations
  • Design and implement scalable processes for general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, fixed assets, and financial reporting
  • Ensure seamless integration of the ERP with existing Payroll, HR and Procurement systems

Project Leadership & Roadmap Development

  • Develop and execute a financial systems roadmap aligned with business goals, compliance needs, and automation opportunities.
  • Manage ERP-related projects, ensuring timely delivery, stakeholder alignment, and post-implementation support.
  • Coordinate with IT, data engineering, and external vendors to ensure seamless system updates and integrations

Automation & Efficiency

  • Identify and implement automation opportunities across FP&A, reporting, and transactional processes.
  • Integrate third-party tools and systems to streamline operations and reduce manual effort.
  • Build foundational reporting structures and dashboards to support real-time decision-making.

Governance & Security

  • Establish and document system access controls, user roles, and data governance policies.
  • Ensure financial systems are compliant with internal controls, audit requirements, and data privacy regulations.
  • Monitor system performance, data integrity, and security protocols.

Collaboration & Support

  • Act as the primary liaison between finance, IT, and business units for all system-related initiatives.
  • Provide ongoing training and support to finance users and related users across the business
  • Continuously evaluate system performance and recommend enhancements as the business scales

Required Knowledge & Skills

Technical Expertise

  • Proven experience implementing Oracle ERP in a startup or early-stage environment.
  • Deep understanding of financial modules, system architecture, and reporting capabilities.
  • Familiarity with EPM systems, data integration tools, and automation platforms.
  • Strong Excel and data analysis skills; knowledge of SQL or BI tools is a plus.

Accounting & Finance Acumen

  • Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance standards.
  • Experience designing accounting structures and workflows from scratch.
  • Ability to translate business needs into system solutions.

Project Management

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives.
  • Excellent documentation, communication, and stakeholder engagement abilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Professional accounting certification (e.g., CA,CPA, ACCA, CMA,CIMA) preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in financial systems roles, with at least 2 years in system implementation.
  • Gaming or Hospitality experience is an added advantage.
