An Assistant Sales Manager supports the Sales Team through analysis and reporting of results and trends, recommends sales approaches to expand and add business, and develops the skills and culture of the Sales Team Members.

What will I be doing?

As Assistant Sales Manager, you will work closely with the Sales Team to analyse market trends, report results, develop strategies, and achieve business objectives. Your responsibilities include:

  • Analyzing local market trends and developing new business leads
  • Maximizing all revenue opportunities
  • Contributing to the hotel's selling strategy and ensuring departmental adherence
  • Understanding the competitive marketplace and implementing strategies to stay ahead
  • Negotiating room rates and packages with corporate clients
  • Developing and motivating the Sales Team to maintain high standards and proactive selling
  • Implementing creative local marketing channels, including social media
  • Recognizing potential opportunities within current strategies
  • Communicating effectively with other hotel departments
  • Attending sales events as required
  • Reporting weekly/monthly on appointments, calls, and business leads
  • Responding promptly to customer queries
