Overview

Job Title: Assistant Manager – Contracts

Location: Abu Dhabi

Objective:

The Assistant Manager – Contracts will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and managing contracts with vendors, clients, and other stakeholders. The role supports the Contracts team in ensuring legal, regulatory, and organizational compliance while minimizing risk and aligning contract terms with company objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, agreements, and legal documents to ensure accuracy, clarity, and compliance with company policies.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to identify and mitigate contractual risks and ensure alignment with operational, commercial, financial, and legal requirements.
  • Develop and maintain standardized contract templates tailored to business needs.
  • Negotiate and finalize contract terms with external stakeholders and partners.
  • Manage and monitor contract execution for vendors, suppliers, and service providers.
  • Review and process contract amendments, renewals, and extensions.
  • Support execution teams to ensure contract milestones and deliverables are met on time.
  • Present contract terms and conditions for internal stakeholder review and approval.
  • Analyze potential legal and business risks associated with specific contract provisions.
  • Ensure compliance with contract deadlines, obligations, and performance conditions (e.g., payment terms, delivery timelines, etc.).
  • Maintain an organized system for storing and managing physical and digital contract records.
  • Follow up on pending contracts or requests requiring additional documentation or clarification.
  • Propose improvements to enhance contract management processes, systems, and workflows.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in contract management, procurement, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of contract law, legal principles, and commercial terms.
  • Proven negotiation and analytical skills with a focus on detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient in contract management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
