We are currently recruiting for a Assistant CAD Engineer – 6 Months Contract Role for one of our clients to be based out of their Dubai Office.

Job Purpose:

• Under general supervision, uses CAD and other drafting tools to prepare multi-disciplinary Fitout design drawings to facilitate tendering and Contractor works execution.
• Interprets and clarifies Engineers and Architects technical notes, instructions, and ensures the completeness and accuracy of all data provided, complying with DA CAD production, layering, and numbering conventions.

Job Description:

• Prepare new design and shop drawings of all disciplines (Civil, Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical & ELV) supporting Fitout activities.
• Ensure service coordination across drawings.
• Obtain and assemble data from various sources to complete architectural, MEP, ELV, etc., drawings, visiting job sites to compile measurements, explain drawings to production or construction teams, and provide adjustments as necessary.
• Coordinate structural, electrical, and mechanical designs and determine a method of presentation to graphically represent building plans.
• Validate As-Built drawings on site and flag discrepancies to Technical Subject Matter Experts for further investigation.
• Ensure on-time delivery – liaise with Subject Matter Experts and commit to timescales for document production.
