Assistant / Associate Professor in Public Relations

The College seeks a dynamic and collaborative faculty member to guide and inspire students in Public Relations. Candidates should demonstrate potential in providing quality undergraduate teaching, with a preference for those interested in developing case studies, e-learning solutions, and innovative pedagogical resources. Practical industry experience is also desirable.

Job Description

A Ph.D. is required, along with relevant practical experience in Public Relations. An MA with extensive professional experience and scholarly or creative activities in the field will also be considered. Candidates must be effective teachers capable of instructing undergraduate students in both Arabic and English and willing to engage in community service.

Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate the ability to :

  • Lead teaching, curriculum development, and course management supporting the College’s public relations programs.
  • Engage actively in research and scholarly activities.
  • Undertake projects to enhance students' practical experience.
  • Mentor colleagues, coordinate work, and supervise staff as needed.
  • Participate in community engagement activities.
  • Ensure teaching is informed by current research and promotes debate, critical thinking, and rational discourse.
  • Provide high-quality academic guidance to enhance student employability.
  • Collaborate with external partners and professional bodies locally and internationally.
  • Reflect on teaching practices, implement improvements, and contribute to quality assurance and accreditation processes.
  • Work effectively as part of a team, chair committees, and mentor staff.
  • Use innovative teaching approaches and diverse learning resources.
