Assistant Accountant

Fika Consultancy is a fast-growing business advisory firm based in Dubai, committed to delivering expert financial and strategic solutions to a diverse client base. We are currently looking for a detail-oriented and dependable Assistant Accountant to support our finance team with day-to-day accounting operations and help maintain accurate financial records.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and invoices.
2. Record and reconcile daily financial transactions using accounting software.
3. Support accounts payable and receivable functions, including payment processing and follow-ups.
4. Maintain organized financial records and documentation.
5. Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings.
6. Provide support during audits and ensure compliance with internal and external regulations.
7. Communicate with vendors, clients, and internal teams regarding financial matters.
8. Perform general administrative tasks as required within the finance department.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. 1-2 years of experience in a similar accounting role is preferred.
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, or similar).
4. Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
5. Good organizational and time-management skills.
6. Excellent communication skills in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
7. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Prior experience working in a consultancy or financial services firm.
2. Knowledge of VAT regulations and UAE financial practices.
