Job summary

Albatha Group is seeking an experienced Asset Manager to oversee PMV, heavy equipment, and vehicles across multiple projects. You will ensure efficient utilization, proper allocation, and timely deployment while maintaining accurate asset records and coordinating with Project Managers and Maintenance teams.

The role requires 8+ years in asset management within construction, strong knowledge of ERP systems, and solid HSE compliance.

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Asset Manager to oversee the management, utilization, maintenance, and control of heavy equipment, machinery, vehicles, and other construction assets across our projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction site operations and processes, with hands‑on experience managing PMV (Plant, Machinery & Vehicles) and ensuring that equipment is available, properly allocated, and utilized efficiently across construction projects.

The role will also be responsible for overseeing the equipment warehouse/storage facilities, ensuring proper asset tracking, documentation, maintenance, and movement of equipment between sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the company's PMV, heavy equipment, machinery, vehicles, and construction-related assets across multiple projects.
• Ensure equipment is utilized efficiently, appropriately, and in a timely manner to meet construction project requirements.
• Coordinate the allocation and deployment of equipment to construction sites based on project requirements and schedules.
• Monitor equipment availability, utilization, movement, condition, and overall performance.
• Oversee the equipment warehouse/storage area, ensuring proper organization, security, documentation, and control of assets.
• Maintain accurate records of all equipment and assets, including location, condition, utilization, maintenance history, and ownership status.
• Coordinate the mobilization and demobilization of equipment between projects and sites.
• Work closely with Project Managers, Site Managers, Construction teams, Procurement, Maintenance, and Logistics teams to understand equipment requirements.
• Monitor preventive and corrective maintenance schedules to ensure equipment remains safe, operational, and fit for purpose.
• Identify underutilized, idle, or excess equipment and recommend appropriate reallocation or deployment.
• Ensure equipment is inspected and maintained in accordance with company procedures and relevant safety requirements.
• Monitor equipment-related costs, including maintenance, repairs, transportation, rental, and operating expenses.
• Coordinate with suppliers and service providers for equipment maintenance, repairs, inspections, and spare parts where required.
• Ensure proper documentation for equipment transfers, deliveries, returns, inspections, and disposal.
• Support project teams in forecasting future equipment requirements based on project schedules and construction activities.
• Implement effective asset-control procedures to minimize loss, damage, downtime, and unnecessary equipment costs.
• Prepare regular reports on asset utilization, availability, condition, movement, maintenance, and costs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, Logistics, Asset Management, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in asset management, plant & machinery management, construction logistics, or a similar role within the construction industry.
• Strong experience managing heavy construction equipment, machinery, PMV, and vehicles.
• Good understanding of construction site operations, project requirements, and construction processes.
• Experience managing or supervising equipment warehouses, yards, or storage facilities.
• Strong knowledge of equipment allocation, utilization, maintenance, and lifecycle management.
• Experience coordinating equipment across multiple construction sites/projects.
• Strong organizational and coordination skills, with the ability to work closely with project and site teams.
• Good knowledge of asset tracking systems, ERP systems, or asset management software.
• Strong understanding of HSE requirements related to construction equipment and machinery.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
